You're making your biggest decisions on a gut feeling
You’ve wanted somebody to sit down and think through your business with you, in numbers. After three sessions you’ll know whether you can hire, what to charge, and how long your cash lasts.
Kasi Nayles came in with a strong brand, spreadsheets, and data. Find out how learning to tell her story in numbers helped her win grant funding.
You've done everything you were supposed to do.
You hired the bookkeeper. You bought the template. You watched the videos and you built the spreadsheet. And you’re still sitting there on the first of the month wondering whether you can afford the hire, or whether you’re just talking yourself into it.
Your P&L shows up every month. It tells you what already happened. Never what to do next.
You set your prices by looking at what everyone else charges, and you’ve been meaning to revisit that for about two years.
Somebody asked for your projections. You said
you’d send them over. You still haven’t.
You check your bank balance more often than you’d admit, because it’s the fastest way to feel like you know.
None of that makes you bad at this. It makes you a business owner who’s been handed records instead of answers. You don’t know what you don’t know, and finding that out is the entire job.
Not everyone needs this. Here's who does.
There’s a point where more templates and more videos stop helping, because the problem isn’t information anymore. It’s that nobody has looked at your business specifically.
You’re running a real business with real revenue, and the decisions have gotten expensive enough that guessing costs you money.
You’ve got history to work from. A year of sales, a bank account, invoices. Messy is fine.
You want to understand it yourself, not hand it to somebody and hope.
You’re ready to hear something you might not like about your pricing.
If you’re not there yet, don’t book this. If you’re pre-revenue, or you’d rather start free and see whether this way of thinking suits you, go to the Know Your Numbers workshop instead. It’s live, it’s free, and plenty of people start there and come back later.
What you get

You get a written plan that explains what you need in plain English, and the dashboard, which we’ll build using your own AI from your data. No special software needed.
You don't know what you don't know. That's the point.
We take the uncertainty away first, then build the thing that keeps it away. Three weeks, not three months, because you don’t have time to waste.
Before we start: a short discovery form
A short form collects what you already have about your business and your numbers. You fill it in on your own time. Nothing to schedule, nothing to prepare, and no wrong answers.
Those answers are what Marcela works from, so session one starts on your business instead of twenty minutes of getting acquainted.
You leave knowing: what you’re missing. It’s usually shorter than you feared.
Session one: understand your inputs
Where revenue comes from, what it costs you to deliver, and what your fixed costs really are. Homework goes both ways after this one. You gather what’s missing, and Marcela builds the model around your business.
You leave knowing: how your business makes money, not how you assumed it did.
Session two: review and set strategy
We walk the model together, fine-tune the assumptions, and either reset your strategy or set it for the first time. Your first dashboard is delivered after this session.
You leave seeing: your own numbers, in front of you, for the first time.
Session three: decisions and cadence
Dashboard review, remaining uncertainties cleared, and the part that matters most: the cadence. We set your 30-day financial check-in so you run it yourself, and we set your 90-day goals.
You leave knowing: what to do first, and how you’ll know whether it worked.
The 30-day check-in is with yourself, not with Marcela. That’s deliberate. If you still need us every month, we built the wrong thing.
What is guessing actually costing you?
A lot more than you think.
Say you’re doing 600 orders a year at an average of $50. You set that price when you started and you’ve never touched it. Move it to $65 and nothing else changes. Same customers, same marketing, same effort.
Orders a year
Per order
More revenue, no new spend
Check the math yourself. That’s the point. Every dollar of average order value falls straight to profit, which makes pricing the cheapest lever in your business and the one nobody looks at.
Sample numbers, not a client’s. Yours will be different, and finding out what they are is session one.
Prices set once and forgotten
What you charge was probably decided when the business looked nothing like it does now.
Work that looks profitable and isn't
A service line with good revenue and a cost to deliver nobody ever calculated.
Cash timing that doesn't match the plan
Profitable on paper, tight in the account, because the money arrives after the bills do.
Costs that never made it into the model
Fulfillment, software, contractors. Small individually, and they change the whole picture together.
They stopped guessing
Before Ready, Plan, Grow!, I was buying inventory on gut feel. The Know Your Numbers work showed me which products were actually carrying the business and which bundles made sense. Once I could see the numbers clearly, I started making better purchasing decisions, went after grants with real confidence, and focused my time on what was actually moving the needle.
Founder, For The Few, fashion and lifestyle
Before working with Marcela on Know Your Numbers, I thought my bookkeeping was all I needed. Now that I have a dashboard, understand my margins, and the importance of revenue per employee, I am managing towards a growth plan rather than against cash in the bank balance only. My expenses decreased, my margins are up, and we know when we can hire our next big-impact employee.

Meet Marcela Shine
Marcela has directly coached more than 5,000 business owners and built programs reaching 15,000 more, through Google for Startups, Ureeka, ZenBusiness, and the Dallas Mavericks Entrepreneurship Program. Before that she held CEO and COO roles at venture-backed companies, where reading the numbers correctly was the job.
She’s spent years teaching business owners to tell their story in numbers so they can get to funding, grants, and the opportunities that usually stay out of reach. This is that same work, at your scale, on your business.
One decision made wrong costs more than this
to start, then $250 before each remaining session
$1,500 total. You set the pace. Most owners run it in about three weeks, and there’s no contract past the three sessions.
- A short discovery form that finds your gaps before session one
- Your model, built around your business, not a template with your name on it
- Your numbers in front of you, explained in plain English
- What to do first, and how you'll know whether it worked
- A fifteen-minute monthly check-in you run on your own
Worried about the investment? Booking a conversation is free. That’s where we confirm this is the right fit before you spend anything. And if session one doesn’t leave you as hooked as your favorite show, you’re free to stop there. No pressure to finish what you started.
Members pay less. See membership.
What people ask before they say yes
Do I need clean books before I start?
No. Bring what you have. The discovery form exists to find out what’s there and what’s missing, and gathering the gaps is your homework after session one.
Is this bookkeeping or accounting?
Neither. Your bookkeeper records what already happened. This is forward-looking. It shows you liquidity, timing, and runway so you can decide what to do next.
What if my business is too new for projections?
Then projections matter more, not less. We build from assumptions you can defend rather than history you don’t have yet, and the model gets sharper as real numbers come in.
Do I have to be a member?
No. Membership gets you a lower rate and the frameworks to keep going after, but you can book this on its own.
What happens after the three sessions?
You run your own 30-day check-in against the model. If you want a second set of eyes later, office hours are free and weekly. Come to office hours.
Can I try the free version first?
Yes. The Know Your Numbers workshop is free and live, and it covers the basics of revenue, cost to deliver, margin, and break-even. Plenty of people start there.
Your numbers don't have to be perfect.
They have to be defendable.
You’ve been carrying this on your own. Book a conversation and find out what it feels like not to.
Office hours are free and weekly. No pitch (unless you have one to practice with us!)
